Ninebark is a residential community located on the banks of the Columbia River in Washougal, WA. Developed by Killian Pacific, the nearly 9-acre parcel provides 242 units of housing, a free-standing resident clubhouse, two private pocket parks, and a 1.3-acre dedicated public park - Eagle View Park. The site plan weaves buildings and open spaces into the natural environment, with emphasis on framing view corridors to Mt Hood and the river beyond.
The landscape is composed of regionally specific plants that resonate with the site’s natural character. The pocket parks are unique in program, with the west pocket park containing an open lawn, social deck, and pollinator garden, while the east pocket park embraces an intimate garden terrace. A stormwater garden links the two pocket parks. The 1-acre Public Park meanders the full length of the site’s southern edge and compliments the existing Waterfront Trail. The Park is designed around recurring educational and interactive art elements that celebrate local culture & history.
