Albina One
Albina One is the inaugural development in the Albina Vision Community Investment Plan — the nation’s largest restorative justice effort aimed at rebuilding a neighborhood once fractured by eminent domain. Over time, this 93-acre initiative will help re-establish Portland’s historic Albina community and create pathways for displaced Black residents to return.
Designed to reflect Albina Vision Trust’s mission of place, culture, and community, the building includes 94 affordable family units with communal balconies, shared gathering spaces, and murals by local BIPOC artists woven into the facade.
The landscape is anchored by a shared courtyard spanning Albina One and the adjacent Paramount Apartments. This central gathering space features custom seating, lush gardens, and a misting station, while an accessible route connects N Flint Avenue to the courtyard below with illuminated handrails and pollinator gardens — bee hydration stations included. A more intimate private courtyard serves residents with additional seating, a children’s play area, and a meandering wander garden.
