Glisan Landing reimagines affordable housing as a connected, multi-generational neighborhood shaped by a shared landscape. Bringing together affordable family housing, permanent supportive housing, and a culturally specific early childhood education center, the campus was conceived as one interconnected framework rather than three separate projects. Gardens, play spaces, gathering areas, fitness opportunities, and quiet woodland paths create a continuum of places where residents, children, caregivers, and service providers can connect through everyday life.
Layered Pacific Northwest-inspired planting, community gardens, expanded tree canopy, water-efficient irrigation, and locally sourced materials strengthen both ecological and community resilience. Designed to support play, reflection, food cultivation, stewardship, and social connection, the landscape extends the idea of home beyond the front door and creates the social and ecological foundation through which community takes root.
